About the event
Mary Lou Teel of CBS News will join us at the Community Center at 7:00 p.m, Thursday, August 13th, to share her experiences as producer of award-winning CBS Sunday Morning, working with Charles Kuralt, Charles Osgood, Jane Pauley, and correspondent Tim Sample (Postcards From Maine series). Mary Lou will present program highlights from her 40 years as the show's producer - including some filmed here in Boothbay Harbor.
As she described it, "I started at CBS Sunday Morning in 1985, as the writer for host Charles Kuralt, and became a writer/producer two years after that. During that time, I had the chance to meet and work with many fascinating people---some of them famous: Warren Buffet, Frank Gehry, Bobby Orr, Bonnie Raitt, Barbara Kingsolver, Ann Patchett, Dick Van Dyke, and Christopher Plummer, to name a few."
