Save the dates for two new events you won’t want to miss at the Center this month:

 

Just in time for the new Medicare enrollment period!  On Wednesday, October 7 at 10:30 a.m. we will welcome Spectrum Generations and their Free 90-minute Medicare Workshop. They will provide important information for everyone – whether you’re new to Medicare or have questions for the coming year. Everyone is welcome. Make sure you plan ahead to attend this important workshop.

 

On Wednesday, October 21 at 11:00 a.m. we’ll have an exciting update from the people who prosecute investment fraud!  

Boston Office Securities and Exchange Commission senior legal counsel Eric Giroux is coming to the Center on Wednesday, October 21 at 11:00 a.m. He is going to present an update about investment scams and how to protect against them.  Eric will also show how to research investments and investment professionals using free SEC resources, as well as how to protect their online accounts from fraud. You won’t want to miss this!  

 

We can't say it often enough - We are so grateful to volunteer Patrice Connelly, our Media Manager for the terrific job she does every day to keep our social media posts and our website sharp, informative and fun as well as tackling any and every request we send her way.  Thank you Patrice!!

 

We are welcoming back exercise groups from their summer locations over the next few weeks.  Judy Milinowski’s QiGong group will be at the Center on Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to noon every Tuesday starting Tuesday, October 20th.  Pat McKee’s Ladies Who Love to Dance are back with us starting Wednesday, October 14th from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.

 

P-L-E-A-S-E keep our bridge players smiling. We need one more player for social bridge on Fridays! Call us at 633-9876. Lots of fun.

 

And the patient and thorough Glady Bean is going to start providing cribbage lessons here at the Center on Wednesdays at 11 a.m. starting October 7th. Class size is limited, so please call the Center to sign up. 633-9876.

 

Our patient and thorough Mahjong teacher, Pam Utley will provide lessons Mondays from noon – 2 p.m. starting on October 19th. The class is limited to only 4 people so call us soon to join the class. 633-9876.

 

Remember that the Center will be closed on Monday, October 12 and re-open on Tuesday, October 13 at 10:00 a.m.
